Code Lyoko Location

Does anyone know where the Code: LYOKO show is supposed to be located? I know it's based off of a real boarding school & factory in France. Is that where they are supposed to be? I've tried to tell my brother and he won't listen...

Hello Kim - Code: Lyoko's Kadic Academy is based on Lycee' Lakanal, a school near Paris, and the factory is inspired by Ile. Seguin, a former Renault car factory in a Paris suburb called Boulogne-Billancourt - in the show the school is based in the same suburb, but in reality is several miles away.

There are some excellent maps on www.codelyoko.net, a French site which recently opened an English section.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks, tb3. I already know that it is based on a French school. I was just wondering that if in the show, they are in France...

Yes, despite a line which seems to suggest a non-French setting in 'Attack of the Zombies', a scene in 'Satelite' proves it - the targeting system zooms in on Paris - also whenever you see maps of the area around Kadic, comparison shows they match up to Billancourt's street layout.

They are in France in the show. Despite the English staff's best efforts to "Americanize" it, they do still show maps of France and use Euros.

Cheers YDV - so if anyone ever tells you Kim, that CL is not set in France, they're LYING! :D

I'd like to add, that now that this thread has answered your question, it might get locked, I just wanted to let you know so that your feelings aren't hurt. :)

The VAs do a great job Americanizing it.
