My parents are so unfair! They won't let me use Myspace. Well. I'll just sneak on when they're not around. I'll show them. They will never know I've been on. But I'll find a way on. Just you watch and see. :cussout:

I'm sure they havew their reasons... but come on, you're gonna get angry for not being able to use MySpace?? It's useless in the end... but if you're from the States, then it miiiiiiiiiiiight help you to get dates or getting stalked.

I can't help it. When they're gone, I'll just start using. When I'm all alone in the house. No one to spy on me. Thank God, I have my own account on a dell computer with password protection.

Ok, so I've been getting more depresssed and weirded out each day, big deal....

Myspace really isn't that big of deal. People look at it for like 2 seconds and then they forget about it. The only thing Myspace succeeds in doing is giving out personal information to stalkers and giving free reign to cyberspace bullies. I know it seems like parents can be totally unfair because I've been there done that, but I've discovered that parents are usually right. O.o I know you are mad, but please don't go and do something that you will later regret. Making a Myspace behind your parents back may make them loose their trust and you and take away your computer priviledges completely.

Myspace also is a good place for bands to put up streaming audio. That is what I use Myspace for, anyway.

You don't need to make an account to view your friend's myspace, unless they've made their account private.

They have. All I want is a glance, then I'll destroy the evidence. I hope she doesn't try to ban me from LF. It's a great place to talk about Code Lyoko, and other things, and we don't have stalkers. I'm not telling about Oboy

Well, the only reason I use Myspace is to keep in tounch with friends/family from far away. But some friends I see everyday added me so yeah. Anyways, you can always tell your parents that your profile is private and that you won't put any personal info on there. That's how I got my parents to let me go on... But that all totally depends on how strict your parents are. You really don't need a myspace, I like it just for fun (*cough*mostly*cough*). But I prefer to stay on the forums more.

First question: Why do you want to use MySpace in the first place?
Second question: Are you one of those weird MySpace obsessed people who meet and fall in love with people halfway across the country that you ultimately don't know anything about?

Lastly: Respect and obey your parents :wag:

That can depend on the situation. But come on, a thread to complain about MySpace on Rant is beyond pointless.

Yes, indeed, I did think of situations where it may be a good idea to disreguard them while writing that. But this would not be one of those situations.

I'm gonna lock this thread. It's not worthy to continue arguing on it.

Saphire, whenever you get a MySpace account, tell it to us at the MySpace thread at GD.
