Then again, I'm self-titled as lame and childish, so that's not so bad a deal anyway.
The songs all do sound somewhat alike (I believe they're all in the same key, at the very least ^^), and I think they may owe Jamiroquai and Daft Punk for the inspiration somewhat. But...they just sound fun to me really...I hope this comes here...or that the French CD can play on US players. ^^
). "Sauver le Monde" is downright spiffy, IMO. I could picture a really spiffy battle scene to that tune...and that's only after hearing like 10 seconds of it. ^^

I likes the music even though it's in French and has lyrics I am unable to understand. xD; Ah well. I
HAHA UMSD I MISS YOU
Okay um. Where was I? Oh yeah. It doesn't really matter to me; the tunes are nice so... ha!
THIS IS GOING STRAIGHT TO MY CHRISTMAS LIST 8D
Same here!
*highfives*

So I don't think French should be a problem.... >>;NOT Lani wrote:*highfives back* xDD I sure hope French CDs can work on our CD players/computers. I do know, though, Japanese ones do. Last time I was in Japan I bought a CD; it worked fine in my old school CD player and worked fine in my computer (although my school computers couldn't read it... haha!).So I don't think French should be a problem.... >>;

Listening to the mix, I am 50% happy and 50% angry.
Why Angry? As Mew pointed out that last track but one is Herman and Serge's music with words on it, and from my discussion with them, they have no idea that their work is being released like this.

Mewberries151 wrote:Ah, good point...didn't you say though, that he'd signed a release on his music that gives MoonScoop permission to do that? I'm not saying I don't find it rather unfair...but I thought I remembered you saying that something like that was okay with him because of his contract.... ^^
I'm being such a baby! I wish S4 would come sooner and save me the agony. (Who knew someone would get worked up on a show.)TB3 wrote:Mewberries151 wrote:Ah, good point...didn't you say though, that he'd signed a release on his music that gives MoonScoop permission to do that? I spent 35 minutes talking with Herman on the subject of their contract the other day - and although Moonscoop hold the rights, the contract REQUIRES Herman and Serge's involvement in any commercial use of their music.
Since they had no idea this CD existed until I told them, it seems to be in violation of their contract.
JxA Addiction wrote:It's...nice. Though, it's not really sounding CLish to me. I agree with the French fans aswell. The lyrics are...so bad and good it's funny.
JxA Addiction wrote:Then again USMD is the same. USMD has a good beat this whole track(excluding USMD) just reminds me of 98* for some strange wacked out reason.
98 Degrees? *snickers* I suppose, although it sounded more to me like what one would get if one crossed Noam with The Rasmus, Jamiroquai and a sprinkling of Daft Punk. ^^;

You can hear and translate the lyrics? O.o
I can't really pick much of anything out enough to translate with the quality it's at...just out of curiousity, what are some of the lyrics you've been able to get out of it?

12.) A World Without Danger
LyokoNet or one of the other French sites might already have clips of these...I'll look around for familiar titles. ^^
In the meantime though...who's so getting this when it comes out? *giggles* ^.^
Silly question: Why isn't "A World Without Danger" the first track?
Yeah, I wonder the same, and even Un Monde Sans Danger is considered a bonus track!?
And also, the song named, S'Envoyer (to fly away in French)...
Listen to it closely...minus the voices, does the music sound like a techno-souped up deviration of the original Subsonics song?

Maybe because it is?
Mewberries151 wrote:"S'Envoler" is apparently the vocal version of "Generique Fin"...which is fascinating because the melody is intriguing to say the least. I wish I had the full lyrics so I could figure out what they translate to. ^^

JxA Addiction wrote:I got use to the bad quality. And I can understand it...slightly. I can't give you a translation So far I can't spell French as well. I'm still learning French at school and yet I don't know how I can survive talking to my only French speaking best-friend. O.o
So I guess I can't exactly understand it. The people who are singing are singing WAY too fast for me and I'm use to that...(Funny, France probably says the same about us.)
Well...probably not precisely the same...they start learning in English in elementary school, I believe, whereas most students taking French only start in Middle or Highschool. ^^;

- almost like it's about us

(this is a very rough translation - Altavista and Systran had problems with some words so I had to fill in the blanks)

I actually find these lyrics very uplifting- almost like it's about us
