I thought XANA was just taking control of William, and the group had passed it off as a fluke or the like. William was supposed to be lost in the digital sea, but he lived, and acted like himself, so I wouldn't think they'd suspect him of being XANA possessed.
...of course, it's more along the lines of, "it doesn't flow too neatly, but let's use it", but it works, and I like it. I guess Yumi had forgiven William's slip up by the time he was back.

1. William retaining his personality under XANA's control = key to success for the character. The evil antagonistic nature to him, that charisma. It's great and I love it. I only hate how he was used to sparringly in this episode.
2. HATE that Lyoko was just reformed. What the crap? Then what, storyline wise, was the purpose of deleting it? It loses all value and coolness if Lyoko is deleated and then can be so simply brought back.
3. WHERE THE HELL IS THE CONTENUITY? William shows up and hes not slightly pissed at all about being left for dead? Yumi all of sudden forgets that she hates him and starts flirting with him?
4. the visuals are improved.
5. Semi-liked William's powers, but his Lyoko outfit is just a tad tooo..... Emo. He needs to look more badass and cocky and show more of his personality.
7/10, it's something to build upon.

Either that or she was just relieved to see that he wasn't "dead", so to speak, since, so far as they knew, he'd been deleted.
As for William not being annoyed, he said he couldn't remember anything, so there goes that...not to mention he might also have been under XANA's control even then, so of course he's not going to act angry with them if he's trying to get close to Aelita.
As for Lyoko being reformed...they only have Sector 5, so it's not like they've completely brought it back. Not to mention that, given Aelita and Jeremie's combined programming genius, along with Franz Hopper's instructions (who created Lyoko to begin with) on how to do it, I don't think it's all that implausible. I'm going to assume that the initial deletion of Lyoko was to 1) Have William's latest turn to villainy make sense and 2) Provide a reason for XANA to stop using Towers and set his latest plan into motion (whatever said plan may be). ^^;

Oh god, you've noticed that too? It's practically Yumi's thing xDD Odd always runs out of arrows; Ulrich Triplicates and tends to lose clones early; Yumi falls. Always. xD;
