Planet Cool wrote:Bah, I didn't see a reason to update the "real world" clothes. I mean, unless they regularly changed clothes throughout the bulk of the show, previously, all this does is add a jarring note in something that had been familiar to us up to now. How would we feel if Mickey Mouse ditched the red shorts and yellow shoes in favor of something different? It'd throw our conception of the character out of wack, and that's what happened with the Lyoko kids.
Planet Cool wrote:But Odd and Aelita's just plain sucked. Odd's outfit clashed colors so much, it's not funny anymore, it's just obnoxious to look at.
Planet Cool wrote:And Aelita? Just who designed her new wardrobe, Quasimodo? She looks Amish or something in that dark dress! I say, just leave the old outfit. That one was perfect. Just leave it alone, she looked adorable in it. Or, if they insist in change, give her the clothes she wore in the real world in Season 1. They were okay too, but not as much as the pink dress we know and love.
Mahree wrote:Yeah. I used to think her old dress was a hobo suit. (This one kinda qualifies better as one, but...yeh.)
I think they'll grow on us, like you said. Like I might've said somewhere else, I'm looking forward to a new William outfit. *drool*

Again, Tania Palumbo is the designer for the outfits, past, present, and any future ones.
Aelita does not look Amish. The Amish (particularly Amish women) do not wear purple. Menonites (who are often confused with the Amish), wear a variety of colors, but I can't remember if Aelita's dress is one of those colors. I don't think it is. ^^;
At any rate, in my opinion, she simply looks conservative. It's not her best look, but then again, the last time she got an outfit change everyone raised a ruckus...and then got used to it and started liking it.
...Somehow I foresee the same (or something similar) happening with these outfits as well. *sweatdrops*

I was joking about the Quasimodo thing.
Planet Cool wrote:But about the Amish / Menonite thing, thank you for correcting me. I guess I got the words mixed up. I just meant to say that her dress reminds me of the dresses worn by some Menonite women I have seen. Anyway, since Aelita is such a tech-savvy modern girl, a look like that really doesn't suit her. Besides, it makes her look... submissive. That, added to the fact that it some cases Jeremie has behaved in a highly domineering manner toward her, (not too often, and he usually redeems himself rather quickly, but still) gives me a horrible feeling. I really care for Aelita.

People still run at 640x480?
Seriously though, I'm only at 1024x768 and it looked fine to me, what resolution were you running at that it was stretching the thing out? I guess you could make a minor case for 800x600, I could see resizing down 50-100 pixels to fit that, but if its a lower yet or windowed thing you're going for, I'll just leave 'em as links.

I have a rather large resolution as well...however, your pictures were stretching the page horizontally.
...If the page suddenly needs a sideways scroll bar, that tends to mean that the image is too large. ^^;

You can sort of get a feel for everybody but Yumi here.

Also, you may be using a different forum layout. The Avalanche one is narrower. So please don't make a big deal out of this, ALT.
