I could not have said it better myself. *highfives TimeKitten*
Honestly, it always confuses me why fans will whine for more episodes...and then cry about it when they get it, but it isn't what they want (or isn't the quality it was before).
I would highly suggest that those of you who are calling MoonScoop "stupid" and "idiotic" for canceling CL, take a good look at their reasons for doing so. There is such a thing as "artistic freedom" and "artistic choice". They wanted to end CL on a good high note, and leave it open enough that the fans could take it new places (or that they could clear up things in a couple special episodes, take your pick).
Calling their choice to end Code Lyoko at season 4 anything other than an "artistic choice", is disrespectful, and certainly not in the spirit that I think should be shown to people who gave us 4 amazing seasons of a cartoon we love.
You can disagree with their choice, but don't call them "stupid" for it. That's just rude, and as an artist, I simply cannot abide by that.
Especially since so many of you seem to have picked, "Choice B".
*sighs* Again, I can understand why you guys are upset about the show ending, but honestly...have a little compassion for the people who worked so hard to make it for us. Did any of you stop to consider that they simply might be "tired"? Creating an animated show takes a lot of work and dedication from a lot of people (animators, writers, editors, sound technicians, VAs, directors, composers...and that's just the tip of the iceberg). They brought us 4 amazing seasons...what if they'd like to take a break and/or work on something else? Would you guys want them forced into a 5th season that they didn't want to do (or didn't have the energy to do), just to please your fancy?

RySenkari wrote:I beg your pardon, Final Fantasy X and XII were great games. Yes, we ALL wish they would make a third Chrono game (what they did to Schala was unforgivable and needs to be retconned). But don't bash Final Fantasy, which continues to be an excellent series. Bash other series that Square continues to insist upon prolonging (the Mana series, for example... they need to do a DS remake of Seiken Densetsu 3 and bring it to the U.S. before putting out crap like "Sword of Mana").

I'm sorry. It's just that I am confused on which to believe.

Do you really believe Moonscoop would give up it's best property that easily? Have faith and lets see what word 2008 brings.

Indeed. Some forget all the time and effort required for our 30 minutes pleasure. Creating an animated series, and a 2D/3D combo at that, can take months of work for a few completed episodes. Not saying the fans are selfish for constantly asking for more, and I'm not saying the makers are sick and tired of working on the show. Just that fans should to at least understand and respect the reasons throughout the show and it's ending. Particularly if those fans just want more to see one simple kiss, as if to confirm a relationship that's so freakin' obviousBut I disgress.

This is how some fans feel about CL's credibility.
