3) You say he will be America's downfall. If you wish to make blanket statements such as this, explain WHY you feel this way, otherwise you're just screaming for no reason.

Let's see...
savings taxes...
wealth spreading...
Fairness Doctrine... You know, that whole thing bout more regulations on Public Radio, and that's prhibiting Free Speech...
Bailouts are just the beginning.

The problem with your logic here is that you're assuming that just because Republicans oppose something, we automatically hate it. We don't hate gay people (okay, some people do, but they're idiots), we don't hate poor people, we don't have contempt for the middle class (Heck, we're IN the Middle CLass. I haven't got my allowance in roughly half a year, this recession is hitting my family so hard.), we don't hate minorities either.
And...wait a minute..you want porn on television? Ugh...this is in the attitude that it was once proposed that Kindergarteners should be warned about AIDS...with talking condoms. Good Lord, is there anything you want parents to be responsible for?

Yes, I want them to be responsible for turning off the TV when they see their kid watching something they don't like instead of whining to the government and ruining it for everyone.

A lot of the right-wing talking heads on radio are clearly speaking out of hatred and rage. Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin... there are some reasonable right-wingers out there like Bill O'Reilly and (BARELY) Sean Hannity, but they're few and far between and their voices are being drowned out by the crazies. I'm not advocating the Fairness Doctrine just yet, but if the right-wing radio hosts can't learn to make their point without screaming and name-calling, then maybe we need some regulation.

(I switched thse for a reason) So..lemme get this straight...you think that only those over the age of 18 can manipulate a remote? And when exactly do you want this crap on?RySenkari wrote:The problem with your logic here is that you're assuming that just because Republicans oppose something, we automatically hate it. You don't like what you hear? Use your television advice for de radio.
Rush screams? He's a crazy? Dude, have you even HEARD most of his schtik? He's pompous, I'll give you that, but...wha? Same with Laura Ingraham. she doesn't suger-coat her words. EVERY radio host screams. Every one. And when was the last time you heard one of them claim that mean words will start a Civil War, and the Chinese will kill us?
AND, meanness is not filth. Shouting isn't morally questionable. It's okay to feel mad, it's okay to express your opinion, and it's okay to question what you hear. This is America. Shouting is okay. This is freedom of speech in action. I don't listen to Air America (who does?) because I don't like what I hear. I don't petition my Congressman to make them stop saying the mean words and get me a warm glass of milk, a job, and a life.

I'd vote for her, but then again, I'd vote for the left almost as a rule anyway.

Just like the Iraq War.
That would be an interesting turnout, though.
I'd honestly vote for <s>Hitlery</s> Hillary, 'cuz <s>Falin</s> Palin can't run a country.
Her backup debate plan is to smile cutely and tell heartwarming hockey-mom stories.
JesusFreak wrote:Why do you say Palin can't run a country? Governer and Mayor are both executive positions on a smaller scale. Now, given a bit of studying these four years and the willingness to be coached a bit througout, I honestly think Palin would be a pretty good reformer.

Take a look at this, and compare it to the previous debates. See the similarities.

That should be self-explanatory.
